IN LOVING MEMORY

As a psychiatric technician, Brenda Minnifield worked closely with individuals experiencing emotional pain, crisis, and mental health challenges.

But her compassion did not stop when her shift ended. She recognized a heartbreaking truth:

Many homeless individuals were suffering silently without support, stability, or someone who truly cared and mental illness only made it worse. Having a son of her own that suffered from mental illness and another incarcerated She made it her passion to always spread love to the less fortunate by lending an encouraging hand or even a few kind words to those that were in need. She would give the shirt off her back if it meant one less person suffering thru the harsh weather of not having a roof over their head. And often times she'd donate or pass out food at the local homeless shelters as a way of giving back during the holidays. Brenda was a proud mother of 4, a devoted Christian, and a ray of hope to say the least. And it is in her memory, that Brenda's Hands of Hope was created as a way of keeping her dreams alive. 

Our team is made up of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve. From the formerly incarcerated, survivors of addiction, case managers to outreach workers, we work together to provide comprehensive support to those that are in need. Highly motivated and extremely dedicated, our staff here at BRENDA'S HANDS of HOPE have all overcame their own battles of homelessness & addiction, and love to be of service helping others overcome theirs.
